Outdoor Education

Camp Tamarack’s Outdoor Education Program is focused on providing fun, safe, and enriching outdoor learning experiences for students from elementary school through secondary and post-secondary education.

Our Mission

At Camp Tamarack, our mission is to build an inclusive community committed to providing safe and enjoyable opportunities for everyone to develop and grow as leaders.

The 5 Pillars of Camp Tamarack

Having regard for the feelings, wishes, rights and traditions of other campers and staff members. Respect others, respect the world around you and respect yourself.
"Respect is given, not earned."
The opportunity, ability and obligation to demonstrate judgment, act independently, make decisions and be accountable in our camp community.
"Responsibility finds a way. Irresponsibility makes excuses."
Self-assurance arising from an appreciation of your abilities or qualities. The belief that you can rely on something, someone or yourself.
"Our camp builds people up and does not knock them down."
Maintaining persistence, effort and determination despite difficulties, delays or obstacles in achieving a goal or realizing success.
"If you fell down yesterday, stand up today. Every day is a new day and opportunity at Tamarack."
The combined actions, cooperation and efforts of a group of campers and/or staff, working towards a shared goal or solution to a problem.
"Teamwork makes the dream work."
